Apart from stomach ache, the problem of appendicitis is also indicated by symptoms like abdominal swelling, cramps, painful urination, and fever.

Food Poisoning

A common food-borne illness, food poisoning can be yet another reason for an aching stomach. Do you have a sharp pain around your belly button accompanies by a dull shoulder pain? Well, it could be an indicator of gallstones. The blockage in your bile duct due to gallstones, the tiny objects made of cholesterol that form in the gallbladder, is usually the cause of abdominal pain. Though the pain only lasts a few hours, it is felt from time to time.
